Responsibilities:

Safely and efficiently operate a 3.5-tonne delivery vehicle, adhering to road safety regulations and company policies.
Ensure accurate loading and securing of goods in the delivery vehicle, following proper handling and storage procedures.
Plan delivery routes efficiently to maximize productivity and ensure timely deliveries.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
Deliver orders to customers’ locations promptly, ensuring accurate documentation and obtaining necessary signatures or proof of delivery.
Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer inquiries or concerns and maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor.
Collaborate with warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure accurate and complete order fulfillment.
Assist with loading and unloading goods at the warehouse or customer locations as needed.
Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper handling of goods, equipment operation, and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle, performing routine cleaning and maintenance tasks.

Qualifications:

Valid UK driving license with Category B entitlement and a clean driving record.
Experience as a delivery driver, preferably with experience driving a 3.5-tonne vehicle.
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws in the UK.
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact with customers in a professional and friendly manner.
Strong organizational and time management skills to ensure timely deliveries and efficient route planning.
Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual handling tasks such as loading and unloading goods.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
Flexibility to work in shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or overtime as required.
Basic computer literacy to navigate delivery-related software or handheld devices.
