Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of the store’s equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems.
• Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, utilizing diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components, such as motors, switches, wiring, and plumbing fixtures.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from various departments and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and installations, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
• Monitor and maintain the store’s facilities, including lighting, HVAC systems, and plumbing.
• Regularly check and maintain fire safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers and smoke detectors.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs performed, and parts used.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all maintenance activities.
• Assist in setting up and dismantling displays or fixtures as required.
• Collaborate with the store management team to identify opportunities for improving operational efficiency and reducing maintenance costs.
• Provide technical guidance and support to store staff regarding equipment usage and maintenance best practices.
• Stay updated on technological advancements and industry best practices in maintenance and repair techniques.

Requirements:

• Diploma or technical certification in a relevant field, such as Electrical, Mechanical, or HVAC.
• Proven experience as a Technician or in a similar maintenance role, preferably in a retail or commercial environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and building maintenance.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems, refrigeration, and plumbing.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and blueprints.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues accurately and efficiently.
• Experience in conducting preventive maintenance and creating maintenance schedules.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy objects.
