Job Description
Athabasca Motor Hotel 1972 Ltd. is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Room Attendant to join our team in Canada. As a Room Attendant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of our guests’ rooms. Your primary responsibilities will include cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, restocking supplies, and providing excellent customer service to enhance the overall guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Room Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms according to established standards and procedures.
- Make beds, change linens, and ensure towels and amenities are replenished.
- Vacuum, dust, and mop floors to maintain cleanliness.
- Clean and sanitize bathroom fixtures, including toilets, sinks, and showers.
- Empty trash and replace garbage bags as needed.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages in the rooms to the appropriate personnel.

Restocking and Inventory Management:
- Restock guest room supplies, such as toiletries, towels, and linens.
- Ensure that all necessary supplies are readily available in the housekeeping cart.
- Maintain an organized inventory of cleaning products and report when supplies need to be replenished.
- Assist in monitoring and controlling expenses related to housekeeping supplies.

Customer Service:
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service, addressing guests’ inquiries and requests promptly and professionally.
- Report any guest concerns or special requests to the supervisor or front desk staff.
- Maintain a courteous and helpful attitude towards guests, promoting a positive and welcoming atmosphere.

Adherence to Standards and Regulations:
- Follow all hotel policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Adhere to established cleaning and maintenance standards to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect guests’ privacy at all times.
- Follow proper procedures for handling lost and found items.

Collaboration and Communication:
- Coordinate and communicate with other team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow.
- Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings and training sessions as required.
- Report any issues or concerns regarding equipment, supplies, or guest satisfaction to the supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar role is an asset, but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
