Responsibilities:

1. Operational Monitoring:

   • Monitor the real-time performance of delivery operations using various systems and tools.
   • Track the movement of parcels and delivery vehicles to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
   • Identify any operational issues or deviations from planned schedules.
   • Liaise with field-based teams and drivers to address and resolve operational challenges.

2. Incident Management:

   • Respond to and manage incidents or disruptions that impact delivery operations.
   • Coordinate with relevant teams, including drivers, customer service, and operations, to resolve issues promptly.
   • Escalate critical incidents to the appropriate stakeholders and ensure timely communication.

3. Communication and Coordination:

   • Maintain clear and effective communication with internal teams, including drivers and depot staff.
   • Provide updates on operational performance, delays, and any other relevant information.
   • Coordinate with other control room operators to ensure consistent monitoring and support across shifts.
   • Collaborate with different departments to optimize operational processes and improve efficiency.

4. Data Analysis and Reporting:

   • Analyze operational data and generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs).
   • Identify trends and areas for improvement in operational performance.
   • Provide insights and recommendations to enhance delivery operations.
   • Maintain accurate records of incidents, actions taken, and outcomes.

5. Health and Safety:

   • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
   • Monitor compliance with safety protocols, such as driver adherence to speed limits and safe driving practices.
   • Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly and take appropriate action as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in a control room or operational monitoring role is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to make quick and effective decisions.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and ability to analyze and interpret data.
• Flexibility to work on rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations is desirable.
