1. Site Supervisor
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations on site
- Coordinate with subcontractors, engineers, and inspectors
- Ensure compliance with plans and safety standards
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in site management
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Trade qualification preferred
2. Project Manager
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute construction projects from pre-construction to completion
- Manage budgets, timelines, and client relationships
- Coordinate resources and staff effectively
Requirements:
- Degree in Construction Management or similar
- 5+ years of experience managing large-scale projects
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification a plus
3. Qualified Carpenter
Responsibilities:
- Perform framing, roofing, and finish work
- Read and interpret blueprints and plans
- Work with various materials including timber, steel, and concrete
Requirements:
- NZ trade qualification or equivalent overseas
- Experience in residential and/or commercial carpentry
- Must have tools and transport
4. Skilled Labourer
Responsibilities:
- Support tradespeople on-site
- Operate basic tools and machinery
- Keep sites clean, safe, and organized
Requirements:
- Physically fit and reliable
- Construction site experience preferred
- Must have valid Site Safe passport
5. Health & Safety Officer
Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily safety inspections and audits
- Deliver safety inductions and toolbox talks
- Maintain compliance records
Requirements:
- Health & Safety Certificate Level 4 or higher
- Knowledge of NZ Health and Safety at Work Act
- Excellent observation and documentation skills
6. Civil Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Oversee infrastructure and foundation work
- Review plans, carry out site assessments
- Liaise with consultants and city council
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 2+ years of experience in field-based roles
- CPEng preferred but not required
7. Crane Operator
Responsibilities:
- Operate tower and mobile cranes safely
- Perform lifts in coordination with rigging team
- Conduct daily pre-checks and log maintenance
Requirements:
- NZQA Crane Operator Certification
- Minimum 2 years operating cranes on construction sites
- Attention to safety and precision
8. Heavy Machinery Operator
Responsibilities:
- Operate excavators, bulldozers, and loaders
- Carry out trenching, grading, and foundation prep
- Follow site plans and supervisor instructions
Requirements:
- WTR Endorsements on driver license
- Proven experience on civil or commercial sites
- Great work ethic and reliability
9. Quantity Surveyor
Responsibilities:
- Prepare estimates and tender documentation
- Track project costs, variations, and forecasts
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients
Requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
- At least 3 years of industry experience
- Strong analytical and Excel skills
10. Electrician – Commercial Projects
Responsibilities:
- Install wiring, lighting, switchboards, and panels
- Read and implement technical diagrams
- Perform maintenance and safety checks
Requirements:
- EWRB Registered Electrician
- Full tools and PPE
- Minimum 2 years of commercial site experience
