Key Responsibilities
- Welding Operations:
- Perform welding operations using various welding processes such as SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, and FCAW.
- Interpret welding symbols and follow welding procedures specifications (WPS).
- Quality Assurance:
- Inspect and ensure the quality of welds by using various testing methods such as visual inspection, dye penetrant testing, and ultrasonic testing.
- Adhere to quality standards and specifications as per the project requirements.
- Safety Compliance:
- Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe working environment.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure its proper functioning.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance requirements to the supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a valid welding certification (e.g., AWS, CSWIP).
- Knowledge of various welding processes, materials, and equipment.
