Job Summary:
As a Zoologist at Spectrum Ecology, you will play a vital role in conducting field research, surveys, and assessments related to wildlife populations and habitats. Your expertise, dedication to conservation, and scientific skills will contribute to the understanding and preservation of Australia’s diverse fauna. Responsibilities:
- Conduct field surveys to gather data on wildlife species, behavior, and habitat.
- Monitor and assess the impact of human activities on wildlife populations and ecosystems.
- Analyze and interpret data, and contribute to scientific reports and publications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including ecologists, researchers, and stakeholders.
- Develop and implement strategies for wildlife conservation and habitat management.
- Assist with wildlife rescue, rehabilitation, and relocation efforts when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records, organize data, and use advanced technology for tracking.
- Participate in environmental impact assessments and compliance monitoring.
- Contribute to community engagement and educational initiatives related to wildlife conservation.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Zoology, Ecology, or a related field.
- Previous experience in fieldwork, wildlife surveys, or ecological research is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Australian fauna and ecosystems.
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and scientific reporting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
