Responsibilities:
- Crop Cultivation: Plant, cultivate, and harvest various crops, such as grains, fruits, vegetables, and other agricultural products.
- Livestock Care: Assist in the care and management of livestock, including feeding, watering, and cleaning animal enclosures.
- Field Operations: Operate farm machinery and equipment for tasks like plowing, irrigation, fertilization, and pest control.
- Product Sorting and Packaging: Sort and grade harvested crops and prepare them for distribution, packaging, or processing.
- Maintenance: Perform general maintenance tasks on the farm, including repairing fences, maintaining farm buildings, and cleaning equipment.
- Safety and Compliance: Follow safety protocols and agricultural regulations to ensure a safe working environment and adherence to industry standards.
- Collaboration: Work cooperatively with farm owners, supervisors, and fellow farm workers to achieve farm goals efficiently.
Requirements:
- Experience: Prior experience in farming or agricultural work is advantageous, but we also welcome candidates with a strong interest in agriculture.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to work varying schedules, as agricultural operations may require longer hours during planting and harvesting seasons.
- Communication: Basic communication skills in English or French to follow instructions and interact with team members.
- Team Player: Willingness to work as part of a team and contribute to the success of the farm.
