Job Summary:

As a General Driver, you will be responsible for operating company vehicles, adhering to traffic rules and regulations, and ensuring the safe transportation of people or goods. Your ability to navigate routes efficiently, handle deliveries with care, and maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle will be instrumental in upholding the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This role requires a proactive and reliable individual who can handle the responsibilities of a diverse driving position.

Responsibilities:

Operate company vehicles, such as cars, vans, or trucks, in a safe and efficient manner.
Safely transport personnel, goods, or packages to designated locations.
Plan and follow efficient routes to reach destinations on time.
Adhere to traffic rules and regulations while driving and parking.
Load and unload goods or packages with care, ensuring no damage occurs.
Assist in checking and maintaining vehicle condition, including fuel, oil, and water levels.
Perform regular vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues or damages.
Follow delivery schedules and ensure timely delivery of goods or passengers.
Assist with administrative tasks related to deliveries, such as obtaining signatures and verifying invoices.
Provide excellent customer service to passengers or customers during transportation.
Handle cash transactions and maintain proper records, if required.
Communicate effectively with the operations team to coordinate delivery schedules and optimize routes.
Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
Handle any other driving-related tasks or projects as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
Proven experience as a General Driver or in a similar driving role is preferred but not mandatory.
Valid UAE driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Familiarity with traffic rules and regulations in Dubai.
Excellent driving skills and the ability to handle different types of vehicles.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills in English (both spoken and written).
Punctual, reliable, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
UAE work permit is available for qualified candidates.
