Responsibilities:

1. Food Presentation: Maintain attractive and hygienic displays at the fresh food counters, showcasing a variety of products to entice customers.
2. Customer Service: Engage with customers in a friendly and helpful manner, providing product information, recommendations, and addressing any inquiries.
3. Food Preparation: Assist with food preparation, such as slicing meats, preparing sandwiches, or assembling salads, ensuring freshness and quality.
4. Stock Management: Monitor stock levels, replenish counters as needed, and ensure that products are properly labeled with prices and expiration dates.
5. Health and Safety: Adhere to Tesco’s health and safety standards, ensuring proper food handling practices and cleanliness at all times.
6. Upselling: Promote special offers and encourage customers to try new products to enhance their shopping experience.
7. Checkout Support: Provide additional support at the checkout when necessary, assisting with packing items and maintaining efficient queues.
8. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to create a positive and productive work environment.

Requirements:

1. Passion for Food: A genuine passion for food and a keen interest in fresh produce and culinary delights.
2. Customer Focus: Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
3. Food Handling: Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, or a willingness to learn.

5. Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate store operating hours.
6. Physical Stamina: Capable of standing for extended periods and handling tasks that involve lifting and carrying food items.
7. Team Player: Ability to work well within a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
8. Eligibility: Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK (valid work permit, if applicable).
