Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and coach a team of supermarket staff, including department supervisors, customer service assistants, and general store employees, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
- Operational Efficiency: Ensure the store operates efficiently by managing staff schedules, organizing workloads, and coordinating resources to meet customer demand and achieve sales targets.
- Customer Service: Promote a customer-centric approach within the team, emphasizing the importance of delivering excellent service, resolving customer issues, and creating a pleasant shopping environment.
- Stock Management: Oversee stock levels and replenishment processes, ensuring shelves are adequately stocked and products are displayed attractively to maximize sales opportunities.
- Health and Safety: Uphold Tesco’s health and safety standards, implementing safety protocols, and conducting regular safety checks to create a safe environment for both customers and staff.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to enhance store performance.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs within the team and provide coaching and development opportunities to enhance employee skills and performance.
- Communication: Foster clear and effective communication channels within the store, ensuring all staff are well-informed about store updates, promotions, and company policies.
