Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes, including appetizers, main courses, and desserts, following Ocean King Restaurant’s recipes and specifications.
2. Ensure that all food items are prepared with attention to detail, maintaining consistent quality, taste, and presentation.
3. Collaborate closely with the kitchen team to ensure efficient operations during busy periods, adhering to designated cooking times and prioritizing tasks accordingly.
4. Monitor and manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying the management team of any shortages or required restocking.
5. Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment, minimizing the risk of food contamination.
6. Assist in receiving and storing food supplies, practicing proper rotation and labeling to maintain freshness.
7. Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and guidelines, ensuring compliance with sanitation practices and maintaining a high level of cleanliness in the kitchen area.
8. Contribute to the development and improvement of menu items, sharing creative ideas and suggestions to enhance the culinary offerings of Ocean King Restaurant.
9. Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude, working well under pressure and adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
10. Foster effective communication and collaboration with team members to cultivate a harmonious work environment and deliver exceptional customer service.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar culinary role is preferred.
2. Culinary education or training from a recognized institution is an asset.
3. Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment.
4. Familiarity with a variety of cuisines and the ability to prepare dishes from different cultural backgrounds.
5. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow recipes accurately.
6. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing time effectively and prioritizing tasks.
7. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
8. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per the restaurant’s operational requirements.
