Responsibilities:

1. Prepare surfaces for plastering, including removing old plaster, repairing cracks, and ensuring a smooth and even base.
2. Mix plaster materials to the desired consistency and apply plaster coats using trowels, brushes, or spray equipment.
3. Skim and smooth plaster surfaces to create a uniform finish, using various techniques such as float and set or wet plaster.
4. Install and finish decorative plasterwork, such as cornices, moldings, and ceiling roses.
5. Apply render coats and finishing coats to external walls, ensuring weather resistance and durability.
6. Follow building plans, specifications, and instructions to achieve the desired plastering finish.
7. Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy, making any necessary adjustments or repairs.
8. Use appropriate safety precautions and personal protective equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
9. Collaborate with other tradespeople, contractors, and site supervisors to coordinate work activities.
10. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Plasterer, preferably in the UK construction industry.
2. Proficient in various plastering techniques and finishes.
3. Strong knowledge of different plaster materials and their appropriate applications.
4. Excellent skills in preparing surfaces, mixing plaster, and applying finishes.
5. Ability to read and interpret building plans and specifications.
6. Proficiency in using plastering tools and equipment.
7. Attention to detail and the ability to achieve a smooth and even finish.
8. Good physical stamina and manual dexterity to handle the demands of the job.
9. Effective communication and teamwork skills.
