Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with drilling engineers, geoscientists, and project managers to develop well designs and operational plans that meet project objectives and technical specifications.
- Conduct engineering analyses and simulations to optimize wellbore trajectories, casing programs, and drilling fluid properties, ensuring well integrity and stability.
- Prepare detailed drilling programs, procedures, and risk assessments, considering factors such as formation characteristics, wellbore stability, and environmental considerations.
- Monitor and analyze drilling parameters, downhole data, and drilling performance to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvement.
- Provide technical support and guidance to field personnel during drilling and completion operations, troubleshooting issues and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Participate in post-well reviews and lessons learned sessions to capture best practices, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards in all aspects of well operations.
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Previous experience in drilling engineering or well operations roles in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong understanding of drilling technologies, equipment, and practices.
- Proficiency in drilling engineering software and simulation tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
