- Feed and water livestock according to schedule and dietary requirements.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, identifying and addressing any issues promptly.
- Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in barns and animal living areas.
- Assist with breeding and reproduction activities, including heat detection and artificial insemination.
- Perform routine tasks such as milking, grooming, and hoof trimming.
- Keep accurate records of animal health, production, and breeding activities.
- Ensure compliance with animal welfare regulations and biosecurity protocols.
- Assist with other farm tasks as needed.
Education and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working with livestock, preferably in a dairy farm setting.
- Knowledge of animal husbandry practices and herd management techniques.
- Ability to operate farm equipment and machinery.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
