Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate security operations for events, including risk assessments, resource allocation, and deployment of security personnel.
• Liaise with event organizers, clients, and relevant stakeholders to understand security requirements and develop comprehensive security plans.
• Conduct site visits to assess venues, identify potential security risks, and develop contingency plans to address any vulnerabilities.
• Recruit, train, and manage a team of security personnel for event assignments, ensuring they are well-prepared and equipped to handle security challenges.
• Implement access control measures, ensuring only authorized individuals have entry to designated areas.
• Monitor CCTV systems, alarm systems, and other security technologies to identify and respond to any security breaches or incidents.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement agencies, emergency services, and other relevant authorities to ensure a coordinated response to security-related issues.
• Communicate effectively with event staff, volunteers, and attendees to provide guidance on security protocols, emergency procedures, and crowd management.
• Conduct post-event evaluations and debriefings to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions for future events.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and relevant legislation related to event security management.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in event security management, with a track record of successfully managing security operations at various events.
• SIA (Security Industry Authority) license is essential.
• Strong knowledge of event security planning, risk assessment, and crowd management techniques.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to handle high-pressure situations calmly and efficiently.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations governing event security in the UK.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, to accommodate event schedules.
• Proficient computer skills to utilize security technologies and software for managing security operations.
• A valid driving license is desirable but not essential.
