Responsibilities:

• Provide support and assistance to individuals during the night shift, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.
• Carry out regular checks and patrols to monitor the premises and ensure a secure environment.
• Respond to emergencies or incidents promptly and appropriately, following established protocols and procedures.
• Offer emotional support and reassurance to individuals, addressing any concerns or anxieties they may have during the night.
• Administer medication, as required, following proper protocols and documentation procedures.
• Record and report any incidents, accidents, or significant changes in individuals’ conditions accurately and promptly.
• Assist individuals with any immediate needs or requests during the night, such as personal care or accessing amenities.
• Collaborate with other team members and professionals to ensure effective communication and continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring confidentiality and data protection standards are upheld.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper use of equipment, handling of hazardous materials, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Night Support Worker or in a similar role is preferred but not essential. Relevant training or qualifications are advantageous.
• Compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable individuals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trusting relationships.
• Ability to work independently and make appropriate decisions during the night shift.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and the ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
• Basic understanding of medication administration and documentation processes.
• Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
• Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks that involve standing, walking, and occasionally lifting or assisting individuals.
• Respect for diversity and the ability to work inclusively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards.
