Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to customers’ locations.
• Review delivery orders and ensure accurate loading of products into the vehicle.
• Plan the most efficient routes to ensure on-time deliveries and optimize fuel consumption.
• Navigate through traffic and follow traffic rules and regulations.
• Verify the completeness and correctness of delivery orders with customers before offloading the products.
• Assist in the unloading of goods and deliver them to the designated areas in customers’ premises.
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns in a friendly and professional manner.
• Collect cash payments, issue receipts, or process electronic payments as required.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including proof of delivery documents, mileage, and fuel consumption.
• Conduct routine inspections of the delivery vehicle to ensure its roadworthiness and report any issues or maintenance needs.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while driving and handling products.
• Communicate effectively with the store team to coordinate delivery schedules and address any delivery-related issues.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly and escalate them to the appropriate channels, if necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle.

Requirements:

• Valid UAE driver’s license (preferably light vehicle license).
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role.
• Good knowledge of Dubai roads and traffic regulations.
• Ability to operate a delivery vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong time management skills and ability to meet delivery deadlines.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting and carrying heavy items.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems or map-reading skills.
• Basic mathematical skills for cash handling and recording.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in order verification and documentation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Good interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor.
