Responsibilities:

1. Receive and inspect incoming goods, ensuring their quality and quantity.
2. Properly store products in designated areas, following established procedures.
3. Maintain accurate inventory records using manual or computerized systems.
4. Monitor inventory levels and initiate procurement activities to replenish stock.
5. Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of goods.
6. Prepare and maintain reports on stock levels, stock movements, and expired or damaged products.
7. Conduct regular stock audits to identify discrepancies and resolve any issues.
8. Organize and arrange products in the store to maximize space utilization and enhance visual appeal.
9. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards in the storage and handling of products.
10. Collaborate with the sales team to fulfill customer orders and provide excellent customer service.
11. Assist in the implementation of inventory control procedures to minimize losses and maximize efficiency.
12. Participate in periodic stock takes and contribute to the preparation of financial statements.
13. Train and supervise junior storekeepers, providing guidance and support when needed.
14. Stay updated on product knowledge, market trends, and industry developments related to the store’s inventory.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
2. Proven experience as a storekeeper or similar role in a retail or warehouse environment.
3. Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
4. Familiarity with computerized inventory systems is preferred.
5. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
6. Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
7. Ability to handle physical tasks, such as lifting and moving heavy objects.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
10. Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
11. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
