Key Responsibilities:

1. Vegetable Harvesting: Participate in the harvesting of vegetables, including picking, cutting, or gathering crops manually using appropriate tools and techniques. Follow instructions on crop selection, handling, and quality standards.
2. Quality Control: Conduct quality control inspections of harvested vegetables, checking for signs of damage, disease, or pests. Sort and grade vegetables according to established standards, ensuring only high-quality produce is collected.
3. Product Handling: Handle harvested vegetables carefully to prevent damage or bruising during the harvesting process. Place vegetables in designated containers or packing crates, ensuring proper organization and stacking for transportation.
4. Speed and Efficiency: Work efficiently to meet daily harvesting targets and timelines. Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth flow of harvested vegetables and maintain productivity.
5. Field Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and preparation of fields for harvesting activities. Clear debris, remove weeds, and maintain boundaries to ensure a clean and efficient working environment.
6. Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and report any safety hazards or incidents promptly.
7. Team Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a team, cooperating with fellow harvesters and supervisors to achieve production targets and maintain productivity. Communicate clearly and professionally.
8. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of harvested vegetables, including quantities collected, field locations, and any relevant observations or issues encountered during the harvesting process.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience in vegetable harvesting or a related field is preferred but not essential.
• Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual tasks in various weather conditions.
• Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Familiarity with proper handling and sorting techniques for different types of vegetables.
• Effective communication skills to work well within a team.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations within an agricultural setting.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and occasional overtime, based on the demands of the harvest season.
