Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning Tasks: Perform a variety of cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces. Clean and disinfect washrooms, kitchens, common areas, and other designated spaces as required.
- Surface Care: Use appropriate cleaning products and tools to clean and maintain various surfaces, such as floors, carpets, windows, furniture, and fixtures. Follow proper techniques to achieve desired results and minimize damage.
- Waste Management: Collect and dispose of waste and recyclable materials in designated bins or containers. Adhere to recycling and waste management policies and procedures.
- Restroom Maintenance: Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and fixtures. Ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in these areas.
- Dusting and Polishing: Dust and polish furniture, surfaces, fixtures, and equipment to remove dirt, stains, and marks. Pay attention to detail to ensure a thorough and consistent clean.
- Window and Glass Cleaning: Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors to ensure streak-free clarity and cleanliness.
- Equipment and Supplies: Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including vacuums, polishers, steam cleaners, and other tools. Ensure equipment is cleaned, stored properly, and report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor. Manage and restock cleaning supplies as needed.
- Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Report any safety hazards, accidents, or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
- Time Management: Prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to complete cleaning assignments within designated timeframes. Follow work schedules and adjust priorities as needed to meet client expectations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience as a cleaner, janitor, or similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting.
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques, tools, and products for different surfaces and materials.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills to follow instructions and interact with supervisors and colleagues.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
