Job Description:

The Inn at Bay Fortune, located in Canada, is currently seeking friendly and reliable individuals to join our team as Cashiers. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for processing payments, handling cash transactions, and providing excellent customer service at our establishment.

Responsibilities:

1. Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
2. Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
3. Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions, including giving change and issuing receipts.
4. Ensure pricing accuracy by verifying product prices and applying any applicable discounts or promotions.
5. Maintain a clean and organized cashier station.
6. Answer customer inquiries and provide information about menu items, specials, and promotions.
7. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
8. Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
9. Follow proper cash handling procedures and adhere to company policies and regulations.
10. Assist with other tasks as needed, such as restocking inventory and cleaning.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience as a Cashier or in a similar customer service role is preferred but not required.
2. Strong numerical and cash handling skills.
3. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
4. Attention to detail and accuracy in processing transactions.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
6. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
7. Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food and beverage service is an asset.
8. Second language proficiency, particularly in French, may be advantageous.
