Job Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Claims Handler to join our team at Enterprise Rent-A-Car in the UK. As a Claims Handler, you will be responsible for managing the claims process for vehicle damage, accidents, and incidents involving our rental fleet. Your role will involve investigating claims, coordinating with insurance providers and customers, and ensuring timely and accurate resolution of claims.
Key Responsibilities:

Claims Management:
- Receive and review claims related to vehicle damage, accidents, or incidents, ensuring all necessary information and documentation is obtained.
- Conduct thorough investigations, including gathering evidence, assessing liability, and determining the extent of damage or loss.
- Communicate with insurance providers, customers, and other relevant parties to obtain additional information and clarify details of the claim.
- Evaluate claims based on policies, procedures, and legal requirements, and make recommendations for claim settlements.

Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service by promptly responding to customer inquiries and keeping them informed throughout the claims process.
- Address customer concerns or complaints professionally and empathetically, seeking appropriate solutions and maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Explain the claims process, coverage, and any necessary documentation requirements to customers, ensuring clarity and understanding.

Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of claims, including relevant documentation, correspondence, and investigation findings.
- Prepare reports and update claim files with the status, progress, and resolution of each claim.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in all documentation and reporting activities.

Collaboration and Coordination:
- Collaborate with internal departments, such as Fleet Management and Operations, to gather necessary information and support the claims process.
- Liaise with insurance providers, repair shops, and other external parties to coordinate vehicle inspections, repairs, and settlements.
- Work closely with colleagues to share knowledge, seek advice, and ensure consistent and efficient claims handling.

Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and customer service enhancements within the claims handling function.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and legal requirements related to claims management.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in claims handling, insurance, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of claims management principles, processes, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, insurance providers, and other stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with claims management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
