Job Summary:

Greggs PLC, a well-known and established bakery chain, is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Team Members. As a Team Member, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to our customers, ensuring a positive experience and maintaining the high standards of our brand. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the day-to-day operations of the bakery, including food preparation, serving customers, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, efficient service
• Take customer orders accurately and process transactions using the cash register
• Prepare and serve food and beverages, following established recipes and quality standards
• Maintain a clean and hygienic working environment, including food preparation areas, dining areas, and restrooms
• Ensure product displays are attractive and stocked appropriately
• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations to maintain a safe and healthy environment for customers and employees
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and replenishing items as needed
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and excellent customer service
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines
• Attend training sessions and actively participate in ongoing learning and development opportunities
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner
• Maintain a positive and cooperative working relationship with colleagues and customers

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a customer service or food service role is advantageous but not essential
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and colleagues
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Basic numerical and cash handling skills
• Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required
• A friendly and approachable demeanor with a passion for delivering excellent customer service
• Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team
• Eligibility to work in the UK
