Job Summary:

Green Label Poultry, a reputable poultry farm, is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Egg Collectors. As an Egg Collector, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our farm by ensuring the efficient collection of eggs from the laying hens. This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of egg quality.

Responsibilities:

1. Collect eggs from the laying hens in a timely and efficient manner, following established procedures.
2. Handle eggs with care to prevent breakages and maintain their quality.
3. Inspect eggs for cleanliness, cracks, or abnormalities, and remove any substandard eggs from the collection.
4. Pack collected eggs into appropriate containers or trays, ensuring proper labeling and organization.
5. Maintain accurate records of egg collection, including the number of eggs collected and any observations or concerns.
6. Follow hygiene and biosecurity protocols to ensure the safety and quality of the eggs.
7. Clean and sanitize egg collection areas, equipment, and storage areas on a regular basis.
8. Collaborate with other farm workers to coordinate activities and ensure a smooth workflow.
9. Follow health and safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
10. Report any issues or malfunctions related to egg collection equipment to the appropriate personnel.

Qualifications:

1. Previous experience in egg collection or working on a poultry farm is preferred but not mandatory.
2. Physical fitness and the ability to perform tasks that involve bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
3. Attention to detail and the ability to handle eggs carefully to maintain their quality.
4. Good organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
5. Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a team.
6. Basic understanding of hygiene and biosecurity practices in relation to egg handling.
7. Flexibility to work variable hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
8. Willingness to comply with health and safety regulations and follow company policies and procedures.
