Responsibilities:

1. Providing compassionate and person-centered care to clients in accordance with their individual care plans.
2. Assisting with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
3. Supporting clients with mobility and transfers, utilizing appropriate equipment and techniques.
4. Assisting clients with medication administration under the supervision of healthcare professionals.
5. Monitoring and recording vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
6. Assisting with meal planning, preparation, and feeding, taking into consideration dietary needs and preferences.
7. Engaging clients in meaningful activities to promote their well-being and mental stimulation.
8. Assisting in maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients, including light housekeeping tasks.
9. Documenting and maintaining accurate records of care provided, observations, and any incidents or changes in clients’ conditions.
10. Collaborating with the healthcare team and communicating effectively with clients’ families to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience as a Health Care Assistant or similar role is preferred.
2. Compassionate and empathetic nature with a genuine desire to provide high-quality care.
3. Knowledge of basic healthcare procedures and practices.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Patience, reliability, and the ability to handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
6. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and evenings.
7. Basic knowledge of health and safety practices.
8. Legally eligible to work in the UK.
9. Valid First Aid and CPR certifications (or willingness to obtain them).
10. Proficiency in spoken and written English.
