Responsibilities:
- Providing compassionate and person-centered care to clients in accordance with their individual care plans.
- Assisting with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Supporting clients with mobility and transfers, utilizing appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Assisting clients with medication administration under the supervision of healthcare professionals.
- Monitoring and recording vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Assisting with meal planning, preparation, and feeding, taking into consideration dietary needs and preferences.
- Engaging clients in meaningful activities to promote their well-being and mental stimulation.
- Assisting in maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients, including light housekeeping tasks.
- Documenting and maintaining accurate records of care provided, observations, and any incidents or changes in clients’ conditions.
- Collaborating with the healthcare team and communicating effectively with clients’ families to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Health Care Assistant or similar role is preferred.
- Compassionate and empathetic nature with a genuine desire to provide high-quality care.
- Knowledge of basic healthcare procedures and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, reliability, and the ability to handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and evenings.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety practices.
- Legally eligible to work in the UK.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certifications (or willingness to obtain them).
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
