Job Summary:
J S D Hotel Associates Ltd is currently seeking a friendly and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Hotel Receptionist. As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for guests, providing a warm welcome and ensuring their stay starts off on a positive note. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and check-in guests, providing a friendly and efficient service.
- Assist guests with inquiries, requests, and provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
- Handle guest reservations, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in capturing guest information and preferences.
- Answer phone calls and respond to emails and messages promptly and professionally.
- Process guest payments, maintain accurate cash handling procedures, and ensure the security of guest valuables.
- Maintain a tidy and organized reception area, including the display of promotional materials and maintaining supplies.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences and effective communication.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns, finding appropriate solutions and taking necessary actions to resolve issues.
- Maintain knowledge of hotel policies, procedures, and promotions to provide accurate and up-to-date information to guests.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as filing, record-keeping, and data entry, as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a hotel receptionist or in a customer service role is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to handle multiple inquiries and tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in guest bookings, payments, and records.
- Good computer skills, including proficiency in hotel reservation systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive and proactive attitude.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
