Job Summary:
Connect Appointments is currently seeking dedicated and professional individuals to join our team as Security Officers. As a Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of various premises and ensuring the protection of people and property. This position requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observation skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various security situations.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the security and safety of the assigned premises by monitoring and controlling access points.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises, both interior and exterior, to prevent unauthorized entry, theft, vandalism, or other security breaches.
- Monitor surveillance systems, alarms, and other security equipment to detect and respond to suspicious activities or emergencies.
- Provide a visible security presence and act as a deterrent to potential security threats or misconduct.
- Enforce site-specific security procedures and protocols, maintaining a high level of professionalism and adherence to company standards.
- Respond promptly to incidents, including accidents, disturbances, or other emergencies, and take appropriate actions as trained or instructed.
- Conduct security checks and inspections of designated areas, reporting any irregularities, hazards, or breaches to the appropriate authorities.
- Monitor and control access to the premises, checking identification, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining visitor logs.
- Assist in the implementation of evacuation procedures during emergency situations, ensuring the safety of occupants and visitors.
- Complete accurate incident reports and security logs, documenting relevant details of incidents, observations, and actions taken.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in security operations, preferably in a commercial or corporate environment.
- SIA (Security Industry Authority) license is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of security procedures, protocols, and best practices.
- Excellent observation and attention to detail, with the ability to detect and respond to security risks effectively.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure and handle difficult or emergency situations professionally.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
- Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, and perform security duties for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with security-related technology and systems.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
