Position: Dialysis Nurse (Staff Nurse / Enrolled Nurse)
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality dialysis care to patients with renal conditions.
- Prepare and monitor dialysis equipment, ensuring its proper functioning during treatment.
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and assess patients’ overall condition before, during, and after dialysis sessions.
- Educate patients and their families on kidney disease management, dietary restrictions, and lifestyle changes.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile dialysis environment.
- Monitor patients’ responses to treatment and adjust dialysis parameters as necessary.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team, including nephrologists and nurse practitioners, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Assist in vascular access procedures, such as arteriovenous fistula (AVF) cannulation.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of all dialysis-related activities.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on dialysis techniques and best practices.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients undergoing dialysis treatment.
- Handle emergencies and complications during dialysis sessions, following established protocols.
- Promote a safe and caring environment for patients, ensuring their well-being throughout their dialysis journey.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Enrolled Nurse (EN) license in Singapore.
- Prior experience in dialysis nursing is preferred but not required; training can be provided.
- Strong clinical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassion, empathy, and a patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
- Eligibility for a work visa in Singapore, if required.
