Key Responsibilities:

1. Livestock Management: Provide daily care and husbandry for cattle and other livestock on range lands, including feeding, watering, and monitoring their health and well-being.
2. Grazing Management: Implement grazing management practices to ensure sustainable use of rangeland resources and maintain healthy vegetation.
3. Animal Handling: Safely and efficiently handle livestock during various procedures, such as vaccination, branding, and transportation.
4. Fencing and Facilities: Maintain and repair ranching infrastructure, including fences, water systems, and equipment.
5. Health Monitoring: Monitor livestock for signs of illness or distress, administer medications as needed, and report health concerns to veterinary staff.
6. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of animal care activities, grazing management, and health observations.
7. Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Livestock Experience: Previous experience in livestock care and range management, particularly with cattle, is required.
• Animal Welfare: A strong commitment to the welfare and ethical treatment of livestock.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Communication: Effective communication skills for reporting observations and collaborating with team members.
• Visa Sponsorship: Must require visa sponsorship to work legally in the USA.
