Responsibilities:
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
- Develop and create new recipes and menus
- Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs
- Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate their tasks
- Train and develop kitchen staff
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented to the highest quality
- Manage and maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications:
- Diploma in culinary arts or related field
- Previous experience as a chef or in a similar role
- Creativity and passion for food
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
- Knowledge of current culinary trends and techniques
