Job Description:

Mayflower Cleaning Service is urgently looking for a dedicated and hardworking Cleaner to join our team in Meaghers Grant, NS, Canada. Our cleaning team ensures a safe and sanitary environment for our clients, whether in residential, commercial, or industrial spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
Clean and disinfect bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
Empty trash bins and ensure waste is disposed of properly.
Handle cleaning chemicals safely and according to guidelines.
Restock cleaning supplies as needed.
Follow a cleaning schedule and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
Identify and report any maintenance issues or needed repairs.
Ensure high standards of cleanliness and sanitation are met.
Maintain confidentiality and respect client properties.
Work independently or as part of a team as required.

Requirements:

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

Prior experience in commercial or residential cleaning is preferred but not required.
Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Strong attention to detail and efficiency.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for long hours.
Must be reliable, punctual, and professional.
Knowledge of safe cleaning practices and the use of cleaning equipment.
Basic English communication skills (spoken and written).

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

Previous experience in a janitorial or housekeeping role.
Familiarity with eco-friendly and non-toxic cleaning products.
Experience handling floor-cleaning machines such as buffers or steamers.
Valid driver’s license is an asset but not required.
