Responsibilities:

1. Crop Cultivation:

   • Prepare soil for planting, including tilling, fertilizing, and weed control.
   • Plant, transplant, and harvest crops according to established guidelines.
   • Monitor crop growth, identify pests or diseases, and implement appropriate control measures.
   • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, such as tractors and irrigation systems.

2. Livestock Care:

   • Assist in the care and feeding of livestock, such as cattle, poultry, or pigs.
   • Clean and maintain animal housing facilities to ensure a healthy and sanitary environment.
   • Assist with the handling, sorting, and transportation of livestock as required.
   • Monitor animal behavior, health, and welfare, and report any concerns to the supervisor.

3. General Farm Maintenance:

   • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including fence repair, equipment cleaning, and building maintenance.
   • Operate power tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
   • Assist in the construction of farm structures, such as barns or sheds.
   • Participate in general farm cleanup and organization.

4. Health and Safety:

   • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
   • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and maintain equipment in good working condition.
   • Report any safety hazards, accidents, or incidents to the supervisor immediately.

5. Teamwork and Communication:

   • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily farm objectives.
   • Follow instructions from supervisors and provide assistance as needed.
   • Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in farm work or agriculture is preferred but not required.
• Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
• Knowledge of farm equipment and machinery operation is an asset.
• Basic understanding of agricultural practices, crop care, and livestock management.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
