Key Responsibilities:

Each role on the farm comes with a set of responsibilities that contribute to the smooth operation and success of Kiwi Farms Ltd.. Below are the detailed responsibilities for each available position:

1. Farm Worker:

  • Assist with general farm operations, including planting, weeding, and harvesting crops.
  • Maintain farm equipment and machinery to ensure that it is in good working condition.
  • Assist with the maintenance of fences, buildings, and other infrastructure on the farm.
  • Work with livestock, ensuring they are fed, watered, and kept in clean and safe conditions.
  • Assist with the transportation of farm produce and goods to different areas as required.
  • Ensure farm safety protocols are followed, including the proper handling of equipment and safety gear.
  • Support other farm staff in day-to-day operations, providing help wherever necessary.

2. Dairy Farm Assistant:

  • Assist in the milking process, including operating milking machines and ensuring cows are milked properly.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of dairy equipment, including milk tanks, pipes, and machinery.
  • Feed and care for dairy cows, ensuring that their diet and health are monitored and maintained.
  • Assist with breeding programs and manage the calving process under the supervision of the farm manager.
  • Monitor cow health and report any signs of illness or distress to the veterinarian.
  • Help with the collection and disposal of waste products from the milking process.
  • Maintain accurate records of milk production, cow health, and other key performance indicators.

3. Livestock Handler:

  • Manage and handle livestock, including cows, sheep, goats, and other animals on the farm.
  • Feed animals and ensure they have access to fresh water.
  • Clean and maintain animal housing, ensuring that animals are kept in a hygienic and safe environment.
  • Assist with animal health checks and ensure that animals are free from disease.

8. General Farm Hand:

  • Assist with various tasks around the farm, including feeding livestock, collecting eggs, and cleaning animal pens.
  • Help with the cultivation and harvest of crops, ensuring that the land is properly prepared and maintained.
  • Maintain and repair farm equipment, tools, and machinery.
  • Assist with the transportation of goods and materials between different areas of the farm.
  • Help in the preparation and cleaning of storage areas for farm products and equipment.

9. Farm Manager:

Qualifications and Skills:
