Key Responsibilities:
- Safely loading and unloading materials using forklifts and other equipment.
- Organizing and storing materials in designated areas within the yard.
- Accurately picking and preparing orders for delivery to customers.
- Assisting with inventory management by conducting regular stock checks.
- Collaborating with team members to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the yard to uphold safety and efficiency standards.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Operating machinery and equipment in compliance with company policies and guidelines.
- Providing exceptional customer service to clients visiting the yard.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a yard or warehouse environment is beneficial but not essential.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other yard machinery (training can be provided).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual handling tasks.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom, with a valid work permit visa or the ability to obtain one.
