Job Summary:

As a Warehouse Worker at Greggs PLC, you will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of our distribution and logistics processes. You will be responsible for performing various tasks within the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and distributing goods efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Receiving and Inspection: Receive incoming goods, checking them against purchase orders and ensuring their quality and quantity meet the required standards.
2. Stock Management: Organize and maintain inventory within the warehouse, ensuring accurate stock levels, proper storage, and efficient space utilization.
3. Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and label products according to customer orders and company guidelines, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
4. Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks on products, ensuring they meet the company’s standards for freshness, appearance, and safety.
5. Loading and Unloading: Safely and efficiently load and unload goods onto delivery vehicles, following proper handling procedures and safety protocols.
6. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of stock movements, including receipts, returns, and inventory adjustments.
7. Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment and reporting any hazards or incidents promptly.
8. Equipment Operation: Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and responsible manner after proper training and certification.
9. Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow, effective communication, and efficient teamwork.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role is preferred.
• Physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling products and documentation.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, including stock management and order fulfillment processes.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid forklift operator certification is a plus.
