Responsibilities:
- Order Picking: Accurately pick and pack products based on customer orders, using handheld scanners or picking lists, and following established procedures.
- Stock Control: Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring accuracy and reporting any discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that all products meet the required standards and report any issues or damaged items.
- Packaging and Labeling: Package picked items securely, following proper packing guidelines, and label them accurately for shipping or storage.
- Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety protocols and guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and maintaining cleanliness in the work area.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, following proper training and procedures.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork and documentation related to picking, packing, and stock control accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Warehouse Experience: Prior experience in a warehouse environment, particularly in order picking or packing, is preferred but not essential. Training will be provided.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate picking and packing of products.
- Physical Stamina: Possess the physical fitness and stamina to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy items.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, following instructions and collaborating with colleagues to achieve department goals.
- Time Management: Excellent time management skills to meet productivity targets and complete tasks within set deadlines.
- Safety Consciousness: Strong awareness of health and safety practices and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
