Job Overview:

As a Nanny at Espartero Residence, your primary responsibility will be to care for and support the well-being, safety, and development of a child. You will be responsible for daily activities, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.

This is a full-time, live-out or live-in position (depending on the candidate’s preference). If you are a foreign worker looking for an opportunity to work in Canada, we are willing to sponsor the right candidate for a work permit.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Childcare Duties:

• Supervise and care for the child at home.
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the child.
• Assist with feeding, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• Plan and engage in fun, educational, and creative activities such as reading, drawing, and playtime.
• Maintain a daily routine to ensure a structured and stable environment.
• Supervise outdoor activities and take the child to nearby parks and recreational areas.
• Put the child down for naps and ensure a healthy sleep schedule.

2. Household Assistance:

• Keep the child’s room, play area, and belongings clean and organized.
• Assist with light housekeeping related to the child (laundry, tidying up, etc.).
• Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining area after meals.
• Occasionally help with grocery shopping or running small errands.

3. Safety and Well-being:

• Ensure the child’s safety at all times.
• Administer first aid when necessary and be aware of emergency procedures.
• Report any incidents, accidents, or concerns to the parents.
• Foster a positive, patient, and caring environment for the child’s emotional and social development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Education:

• No formal education is required, but a high school diploma is preferred.
• Certifications in Childcare, First Aid, or CPR are an asset.

Experience:

• At least 1-2 years of experience as a nanny, babysitter, or childcare worker.
• Experience caring for toddlers or young children is preferred.
• Experience in early childhood education is an advantage but not required.

Skills and Qualities:

• Patience and kindness – You must love working with children and be able to handle their emotional needs.
• Responsible and trustworthy – The safety and well-being of the child will be in your hands.
