As a Hotel Receptionist at The Ritz-Carlton, Doha, you will be the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional service and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests with a warm and friendly welcome, creating a positive and inviting atmosphere upon arrival.
- Handle guest check-in and check-out procedures efficiently, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Provide information to guests regarding hotel facilities, services, and local attractions, promoting upselling opportunities.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints, striving to exceed their expectations.
- Coordinate with other hotel departments, such as housekeeping, concierge, and reservations, to fulfill guest needs and ensure a seamless experience.
- Maintain accurate records of guest information, preferences, and special requests, utilizing the property management system (PMS) effectively.
- Process guest payments, including cash handling and credit card transactions, following established procedures.
- Assist in managing room inventory and reservations, maximizing occupancy and revenue.
- Handle guest luggage and provide porter services when required.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception area, ensuring it presents a professional and welcoming image.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth shift handovers and effective communication.
- Adhere to all safety and security protocols, reporting any incidents or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Stay updated on hotel promotions, events, and procedures to provide accurate and timely information to guests.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience as a hotel receptionist or in a customer service role is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in English. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
- Warm and friendly demeanor with a genuine passion for providing outstanding guest service.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in computer systems, including property management systems (PMS) and other relevant software applications.
- Ability to work well under pressure, handle challenging situations, and maintain composure.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as per business needs.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects, such as luggage, as required.
- Knowledge of local attractions, restaurants, and entertainment venues is an advantage.
