Position Overview:

As a Front Desk Supervisor at The Ritz-Carlton, Doha, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient operation of the front desk and ensuring exceptional guest service. You will lead a team of front desk associates, providing guidance, support, and training to deliver an unparalleled guest experience. The Front Desk Supervisor plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and memorable stay for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise the daily operations of the front desk, including check-in, check-out, and guest services, to ensure efficient and seamless service delivery.
  2. Train, coach, and mentor front desk associates, fostering a positive and service-oriented culture within the team.
  3. Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and selecting new team members, ensuring a high standard of talent is maintained.
  4. Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement development plans for front desk associates.
  5. Monitor and maintain guest satisfaction by promptly addressing any issues or concerns raised during their stay.
  6. Collaborate with other departments, such as housekeeping, concierge, and reservations, to ensure a coordinated and exceptional guest experience.
  7. Assist in the development and implementation of front desk policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring compliance and consistency.
  8. Handle guest complaints or difficult situations, finding appropriate solutions while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  9. Prepare and analyze daily reports, including occupancy rates, revenue, and guest feedback, to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  10. Stay updated on hotel services, facilities, and promotions to effectively communicate information to guests and promote upselling opportunities.
  11. Assist in managing room inventory and reservations, maximizing occupancy and revenue.
  12. Maintain a secure and organized front desk area, including cash handling and key control procedures.
  13. Adhere to all safety and security protocols, ensuring the well-being of guests, employees, and the property.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or related field is preferred.
  2. Previous experience in a supervisory role within a luxury hotel front desk department is required.
  3. Strong leadership abilities with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  4. Exceptional guest service orientation and the ability to handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy.
  5. Proficiency in property management systems (PMS) and other relevant software applications.
  6. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing priorities, and meet deadlines.
  8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  9. Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as per business needs.
  10. Knowledge of local attractions, restaurants, and entertainment venues is a plus.
