Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklift trucks to move, stack, and load/unload goods in warehouses, distribution centers, or other work environments.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, guidelines, and operating procedures while operating the forklift.
- Conduct pre-shift inspections of the forklift and report any defects or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Load and unload goods from trucks or storage areas, ensuring proper handling and storage techniques.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas within the facility, following specific instructions or work orders.
- Stack and arrange goods in an organized and efficient manner, optimizing available storage space.
- Collaborate with warehouse personnel to ensure accurate inventory management and timely fulfillment of orders.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, providing updates on work progress and reporting any issues.
- Follow company policies and procedures related to health and safety, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Perform general warehouse tasks, such as material handling, order picking, or packing, as needed.
Requirements:
- Valid forklift operator’s license.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Driver, preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Excellent operating skills, with a strong emphasis on safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Familiarity with different types of forklift trucks and their operation.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and procedures.
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry heavy loads.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods and documenting inventory.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Dependability and reliability in meeting work schedules.
- Flexibility in working hours, as shifts may vary and could include evenings or weekends.
