Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical Inspections: Conduct thorough electrical inspections and testing in Cottsway properties, identifying and addressing any electrical issues or safety concerns.
- Electrical Repairs: Perform electrical repairs and maintenance tasks to rectify faults and ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems.
- Wiring and Installations: Carry out electrical installations and wiring in compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to electrical safety regulations, codes, and industry best practices to ensure the safety of our residents and properties.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to urgent electrical repair requests and emergency situations, ensuring quick resolution.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of electrical work performed, inspections conducted, and repairs completed.
- Client Communication: Interact professionally with residents, providing excellent customer service and explaining electrical issues and repairs in a clear and friendly manner.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members and contractors to coordinate electrical work efficiently.
- Health and Safety: Follow all health and safety guidelines while performing electrical tasks, using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Adherence to Company Policies: Comply with all Cottsway Housing Association’s policies, procedures, and guidelines, maintaining professionalism and integrity in your role.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A recognized electrical qualification, such as City & Guilds or NVQ in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Electrician, ideally with experience in domestic electrical work.
- Strong knowledge of electrical regulations, safety codes, and best practices in the UK.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve electrical issues.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.
- Flexibility in working hours, including occasional evening or weekend work, to address urgent repair requests.
