Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, desserts, and other menu items, according to established recipes and standards.
2. Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.
3. Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and food cost management, ensuring high-quality ingredients and optimal profitability.
4. Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth kitchen operations, timely execution of orders, and adherence to service standards.
5. Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring consistency and meeting guest expectations.
6. Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
7. Assist in the inventory management and ordering of food and supplies, minimizing waste and controlling costs.
8. Adhere to all safety and security protocols, reporting any incidents or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
9. Stay updated on industry trends, new cooking techniques, and culinary innovations, continuously enhancing your skills and knowledge.
10. Collaborate with colleagues to foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Culinary or culinary-related education is preferred.
2. Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar culinary role within a hotel or restaurant is required.
3. Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and culinary trends.
4. Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
5. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations, ensuring compliance at all times.
6. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, displaying excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as per business needs.
8. Physical stamina to stand, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
9. Knowledge of local and international cuisines is an advantage.
10. Culinary certifications and additional training programs are a plus.
