Responsibilities:
- Safe and Responsible Driving:
- Operate company-owned trucks in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to traffic rules and regulations.
- Ensure the safety of the cargo and secure it properly before and during transportation.
- Timely Deliveries:
- Plan routes and schedules to ensure on-time deliveries of goods and materials to various destinations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to optimize delivery routes.
- Vehicle Maintenance:
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on trucks to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Report any mechanical issues or malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of driving activities, such as logbooks, trip reports, and fuel and maintenance records.
- Comply with all paperwork and documentation requirements.
- Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting with clients and handling deliveries professionally.
- Compliance:
- Adhere to all applicable transportation laws and regulations, including hours of service, weight limits, and safety standards.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 or Class A commercial driver’s license.
- Previous experience as a truck driver, especially in long-haul or commercial transportation.
- Good driving record with no major traffic violations.
- Familiarity with transportation laws and regulations in Canada.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks related to truck driving.
- Availability to work in Canada with visa sponsorship.
