Job Summary:

SUPERMARCHE BOUCHER INC is currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Supermarket Product Clerk to join our team. As a Supermarket Product Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our supermarket by assisting with various tasks related to stocking, organizing, and maintaining product displays. Your attention to detail and commitment to providing excellent customer service will contribute to a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying accuracy and condition of products.
• Stock shelves and displays with products, ensuring items are organized and visually appealing.
• Rotate products to ensure freshness, removing expired or damaged items from shelves.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with inventory management, including restocking and ordering products as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including shelves, displays, and backroom storage areas.
• Assist customers in locating products and provide information on pricing and product features.
• Operate cash registers and handle customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a safe and clean shopping environment.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure exceptional customer service and efficient store operations.
• Assist with price labeling, signage, and promotional displays as directed by management.
• Stay updated on product knowledge, including new arrivals, special promotions, and product features.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a retail or supermarket environment is preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management.
• Physical stamina to lift and move heavy objects and perform repetitive tasks.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
• Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
• Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
