Job Summary:

Emaar Properties, a leading real estate development company in Dubai, is seeking a reliable and organized Storekeeper to join our team. As a Storekeeper, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the inventory of materials, supplies, and equipment in our storeroom. Your role will contribute to ensuring smooth operations and timely availability of resources for various projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Verify the quantity and quality of received items, reporting any discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
  • Label and properly store items in the designated locations within the storeroom.
  • Monitor inventory levels and initiate procurement or reordering processes as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, and returns.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts to ensure accuracy and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Prepare inventory reports, including stock levels, usage, and trends.
  • Organize and maintain a clean and orderly storeroom, ensuring efficient accessibility to items.
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their material and equipment needs.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues.
  • Implement proper storage techniques to ensure the preservation and protection of materials.
  • Adhere to safety and security guidelines in handling and storing hazardous or sensitive items.
  • Assist with physical inventory audits and provide support during internal or external audits.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Storekeeper or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Basic knowledge of materials, supplies, and equipment used in construction or related industries.
  • Proficiency in using computer software and databases for inventory management.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy items.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as required.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are advantageous.
  • Valid work permit or residency in Dubai.
