Responsibilities:

1. Equipment Operation and Maintenance:

   • Operate and monitor machinery and equipment during the production process.
   • Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.
   • Follow established procedures for equipment startup, shutdown, and changeovers.
   • Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or abnormalities.

2. Troubleshooting and Repairs:

   • Diagnose technical issues and perform troubleshooting to determine the root cause.
   • Carry out necessary repairs or adjustments to restore equipment functionality.
   • Coordinate with maintenance teams or external contractors for complex repairs.
   • Document and maintain records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.

3. Quality Control and Assurance:

   • Monitor product quality during the production process.
   • Conduct regular quality checks to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
   • Take corrective actions as required to address any quality deviations.
   • Follow quality control procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

4. Health and Safety:

   • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
   • Identify potential hazards or safety risks and take appropriate preventive measures.
   • Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly and assist in incident investigations.
   • Promote a safe working environment and raise awareness among team members.

5. Collaboration and Communication:

   • Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to achieve production targets.
   • Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues regarding equipment status and issues.
   • Provide assistance and support to other team members as needed.
   • Participate in shift handovers, sharing relevant information and updates.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Relevant technical qualification in engineering or a related field.
• Previous experience as a technician in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Strong mechanical and technical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery.
• Knowledge of production processes and equipment operation.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with colleagues.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work on rotating shifts, including nights and weekends if required.
