Job Summary:

As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store during your assigned shift. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our customers receive excellent service and that our team members are performing their duties efficiently. You will also be responsible for maintaining a positive and productive work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of store associates, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure they meet their performance targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring that all duties are performed accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in managing stock replenishment to ensure adequate product availability for customers.
  • Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner, striving to resolve issues to the satisfaction of the customer and the company.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and organization, including displays, shelves, and checkout areas.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures, including cash management and register reconciliation.
  • Assist in training new team members and providing ongoing training and development opportunities for existing staff.
  • Collaborate with the management team to implement strategies for improving sales, customer service, and operational efficiency.
  • Act as a role model for team members, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications:

  • Valid work permit allowing employment in the UK.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role within the retail or customer service industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and engage a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and point-of-sale (POS) software.
  • A customer-focused mindset and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
