Job Summary: As a Senior Team Member at Greggs PLC, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our stores and delivering exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for supervising and supporting a team of team members, assisting with daily tasks, and ensuring that the store meets the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Service Excellence: Provide friendly and efficient customer service, ensuring customers have a positive experience and feel valued.
  2. Team Supervision: Support the Store Manager in supervising and coaching team members, providing guidance and feedback to enhance their performance.
  3. Store Operations: Assist with the daily operations of the store, including cash handling, stock management, and maintaining accurate records.
  4. Product Preparation: Ensure all products are prepared and presented according to company standards, maintaining freshness and quality.
  5. Food Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to strict food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and organized working environment.
  6. Upselling and Cross-Selling: Promote additional products and offers to customers, maximizing sales and enhancing the customer experience.
  7. Health and Safety: Follow health and safety procedures, reporting any hazards or incidents promptly to ensure a safe working environment.
  8. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members to achieve store targets and contribute to a positive working environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a similar customer-facing role is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent team leadership and motivational abilities.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
