As our organization continues to grow, we are urgently seeking dedicated Security Guards to join our team in Markham, ON.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol and monitor assigned premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and security breaches, taking appropriate action as necessary.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and conduct regular checks to ensure security systems are functioning properly.
• Control access to premises by verifying identification, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining visitor logs.
• Provide directions and assistance to visitors, employees, and contractors.
• Prepare detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and any irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
• Implement and enforce company policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment.
• Perform crowd control duties during events or emergencies.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend appropriate security measures.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
• First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Security Guard or in a related field is an asset.
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
